Are you into chess or tennis?
EloCalc is the first Elo Ratings calculator for the Palm. Before any match or tournament simply enter your opponent's data and you're all set to forecast your new rating. Additionally you can beam this data to other users who can then use it to calculate their own ratings. EloCalc uses all traditional stats, has adjustable k-factor and very flexible database support.

Basic Functionality
The Elo Rating System is based on an idea worked out by professor Arpad Elo. The player's results depend on the normal distribution of the opponent's power. The bigger the difference in levels of opponents, the higher the probability the strongest player will win.
Preferences
First of all you should go to the preferences panel and enter your current rating. This is used to calculate all the rest. If the Expected, K-factor (sometimes called just K or Development Coefficient) are empty, you have not yet entered your rating.
To add players to the list just use the Add button or menu. With Edit you can change settings for players in your list. Delete deletes the player hilited in the list - Delete All deletes the list.
Once you have a list of all the opponents that you might be playing against, you can beam that list to others by using the Beam Opponent Data menu.
The Score menu shows all possible scores with the current set of opponents. Pick one and EloCalc will update your rating. The Score Menu reflects the number of opponents times rounds. You set the number of rounds in the preferences dialog. This number is shown on the main screen in the menubar preceded by an R:.
